The εὖSKIN® Lip Care is a mild fusion of rejuvenating and moisturizing constituents, specially created to soothe dryness and cracks in the lips. Its principal elements consist of Sweet orange peel oil, Calendula, and Shea butter.

Sweet orange peel oil

Sweet orange peel oil is mainly composed of monoterpene hydrocarbons, specifically limonene1. D-Limonene contributes as an anti-inflammatory agent in dermal inflammation and wound-healing2.

Calendula officinalis flower extract

Calendula officinalis flower extract has been approved by the EMA to be used in products that aim to reduce inflammation in the skin. It has been shown it can impact the inflammatory phase of wound healing by activating a pathway that increases IL-8 in the keratinocytes, thus increasing wound closure3.

Shea butter

Shea butter is a rich source of fatty acids, such as stearic, oleic, palmitic, linoleic and arachidic4. The topical use of Shea butter has shown anti-aging and anti-inflammatory properties5.

What are the differences between the gel and cream formulations?

Gels and creams serve different purposes in skincare. Gels, being water-based, swiftly absorb into the skin, providing rapid relief from pain and itching. However, in extremely dry skin conditions, they may not offer prolonged moisture, necessitating the use of a cream-based product.

Our gel product, safe for mucosal areas, boasts anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, analgesic, and refreshing properties. It can be applied externally around sensitive regions, excluding internal use in the mouth due to its composition containing sialicylic acid. Creams, on the other hand, create a protective layer on the skin, effectively retaining moisture within. With a thicker texture, they offer lasting hydration, making them ideal for individuals with dry and dehydrated skin conditions. Creams can be alternated with gels for versatility.
